On Tuesday, May 19, South Glens Falls Central School District residents voted to approve the district’s 2026-27 proposed budget, with 408 votes in favor and 173 against.
The $76,244,314 proposal for the 2026-27 school year represents a $1,596,872 increase in spending over the current year’s budget. The budget will increase the tax levy by 2.85%, which is below the district’s state-imposed tax levy limit of 2.94%.
“Thank you to our community members who participated in this year’s budget vote.
