The South Glens Falls Central School District Board of Education, in its search for the new Superintendent of Schools, has narrowed the field of qualified candidates to two finalists:
Jill Cheney-Bovee, Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel,
Corinth Central School District
Michele Whitley, Director of K-12 Humanities & Elementary Instruction,
Saratoga Springs City School District
Board President John Farrell said: “The South Glens Falls Central School District Board of Education is pleased to share an important update in our search for a new superintendent. After multiple rounds of interviews and thoughtful input from staff, families, and community stakeholders, we have identified two outstanding finalists. We invite the community to attend an upcoming public meeting, where each candidate will share their vision for the future of our district. Your participation is an important part of this process, and we hope you will join us to hear directly from the candidates and help shape the next chapter of our schools.”
As part of the hiring process, both finalists will present their ‘Vision for the District’ to the public on Wednesday, April 22. Jill Cheney-Bovee will present at 4 p.m. and Michele Whitley will present at 4:45 p.m. Both presentations will be held in the High School Auditorium. All community members, parents, and staff are invited to the presentations. Subsequently, the Board will conduct final interviews.
