The South Glens Falls Central School District is excited to announce that all our students will now have the opportunity to enjoy free breakfast and lunch, regardless of their financial circumstances, starting on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023.

Families do not need to fill out any paperwork to ensure that students receive free breakfast or lunch in our district for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year. However, it is important to note that any current outstanding balances will still be due.

A la carte items, such as snacks, ice cream, drinks, and doubles, must still be paid for, and students will be charged for milk if it is not taken with a complete meal.

"We're excited to launch universal breakfast and lunch for all students, a cause we've long championed," said Superintendent Kristine Orr. "Free school meals are crucial, ensuring access to nutritious food, reducing stigma, improving attendance, and boosting academic performance."

"We are thrilled to offer our students a wide variety of meals at no cost," emphasized Food Services Manager Robert J. DeFrancisco. "It's always great to provide our families with these helpful services."
