Dear Tanglewood families,
I am writing to inform you about a situation that took place at our building this morning.
An individual in the building was experiencing a mental health issue, and our team acted swiftly to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone on campus, including the individual in distress. In an abundance of caution, we initiated our lockout procedures. Police were called to the school to assist with the situation, and the individual is no longer in the building. At no time were our students in any danger.
Our lockout procedures—which restrict access into the building but allow normal activity inside—were followed exactly as designed. The lockout lasted about 30 minutes, and with the situation resolved, the school day returned to normal operations. We will not be sharing further information to protect the privacy of the individual.
