Students pose with their pine wooden toolboxes

Representatives from Curtis Lumber were on hand May 11 at Tanglewood Elementary  to provide our students with an incredible building opportunity.

Students in Mrs. Henzel's class spent their STEM period building toolboxes with kits provided by the team at Curtis Lumber.  With minimal help by Tanglewood staff and Curtis Lumber employees Michael Cerone, Jake Wilde and Jim Ames, students used hammers, tape measures and screwdrivers to put together their pine toolboxes.

Students were encouraged to think about the trades not just as a job, but as a possible future career.

The South Glens Falls Central School District thanks Curtis Lumber for providing both the kits and their time.
