The Saratoga County 2024 EMT Career Pathway Program is now accepting applications!

Who can participate?

The program is open to Saratoga County students aged 16 and above who aspire to become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). It offers a unique chance to earn college credits while paving the way for a rewarding medical career. Eligible students can engage in lectures and labs before turning 17, with a mandatory requirement to be 17 at the time of the New York State Certification exam. Space is limited, and participants will be assessed based on their application and availability.

Why is this program essential?

Emergency Medical Technicians are indispensable to our communities, and this program addresses the critical shortage of EMTs locally and nationally. By targeting individuals interested in the medical services field, the program aims to build a workforce that is not only well-prepared but also actively working towards post-secondary certifications and degrees. Enrollment with Hudson Valley Community College is the foundation for continuous learning and a pathway to becoming a paramedic, LPN, RN, or even a Medical Doctor.
