On Tuesday, May 21, 2024 voters in the South Glens Falls Central School District will vote on the proposed 2024-25 school budget.

April 22, 2024, Deadline for submission of petitions for nominations of BOE candidates, deadline for submission of petitions for propositions to be placed on ballot: 5 p.m.
May 8, 2024, Budget Hearing and Meet the Candidates night – 6:30 p.m. at South High
May 21, 2024, ANNUAL BUDGET VOTE & SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What’s on the ballot?
The 2024-25 Proposed School Budget -
Proposed budget: $72,676,027
Proposed budget increase: $2,804,230 or 4.01%
Proposed Tax levy increase: $981,641 or 2.85%
Repair Reserve Fund
A $1 million repair reserve fund that consists of surplus funds from the 2023-24 budget. Any necessary repairs would be funded from this reserve. However, transferring these funds necessitates approval from voters.
Board of Education Election: There will be three open seats up for election on May 21, 2024.
