Good morning! Today is Friday, October 11, today is an A – day. Please stand for the pledge.

***If you are interested in going to the University of Maine or the University of Albany they are offering scholarships. Come to guidance for more information.

***Are you interested in leadership and volunteer work?  There will be a SADD Club meeting Thursday, October 17th in Room 3-9 at dismissal. Please remember to bring your Membership Contracts and Officer Applications.  All students are invited to attend.

***Attention all Blood donors and potential blood donors.  This year’s first Blood Drive will take place on Wednesday, November 6th in the old gym.  Sign ups for the blood drive will take place during all lunch periods. If you are 16 or older and meet the height and weight requirements, you qualify to save up to three peoples lives, with one blood donation.  Please consider giving the gift of life to the many in need. The average donation takes approximately 40 minutes, so please sign up for a time that fits your schedule, and does not interfere with critical class time.  Once again the Blood Drive will be on November 6th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Music.  

***Glens Falls Hospital is holding a High School to Health Care event . If you are interested in a healthcare career you are encouraged to attend. It will be held on November 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Hospital’s community Learning Center.

***ATTENTION all students interested in trying out for a winter sport. Family ID registration opens up next week on October 12th for the Winter sport season. Remember that you need to have a current physical on file with the health office to be able to tryout. If needed, we will be offering physicals during school this month. Please come to the health office during a free period to get an appointment. More information can be found on the South Glens Falls Athletics webpage.

*** Attention 9th and 11th graders if you have Physical Papers please bring them to the nurses office.

***These colleges are going to be visiting the guidance office.  – Geneseo Tuesday, October 15 – Endicott Wednesday, October 16 Fredonia ,Hartwick and Weseleyan Roberts- Thursday ,October 17. If you are interested in talking to them come to guidance to sign -up and get a pass.
