In this monthly feature, employees from around the district are highlighted. Mr. Bolesh has been the turnabout counselor at the high school for five years.

Name: Brett Bolesh

Position in the district and building where you work: Turnabout Counselor, South Glens Falls High School

How long have you worked in the district?
This is my fifth year as the Turnabout Counselor.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
My favorite aspect of the job is coming to school each day and working with the young adults in our community. I am very fortunate to be in a position where I can assist our students and their families with problem solving some of the hardships that life throws our way. I love being able to witness first hand individual and family growth, improved student attendance, and increased academic, social, and community participation.

Why do you believe in the South Glens Falls CSD?
I was born and raised in the hamlet of Gansevoort, attended Ballard, Oliver W. Winch, and the high school from K-12. This is my home, I am part of the community, and I am proud to come to work each day in a district that provides opportunity, guidance, and support for its students and families.

What do you like to do outside of school?
I love spending time with my 13 month old baby girl, Emma. I am thoroughly enjoying reading her the same books over and over again, singing along with Raffi, and jamming out to Baby Shark!
