Names: Barb Pease / Karyn Bates

Position in the district and building where you work:
Barb:
Secretary to Superintendent, Administrative Center
Karyn: Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent and District Registrar at the District Office

How long have you worked in the district?
Barb: 24 years as of August 15, 2019
Karyn: 18 ½ years

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Barb: Although I do not have direct contact with students, I hope that I have a small part in giving them many opportunities.
Karyn: I like working with all families and welcoming the new ones to the district. Everyday brings something new, no two days are alike.

Tell us why you believe in SGF and the work we do for the community:
Barb: I have two successful SGF alumni with great jobs who still return to assist with the Marathon Dance after over 10 years. It’s been great to watch the technology, programs and building progress.
Karyn: South Glens Falls has been my home since 1994. My oldest son graduated in 2012 and my youngest will graduate in 2021. I have seen so much growth in the last 20 plus years both as a parent and an employee. I believe in SGF because SGF believes in its students and the surrounding community and goes above and beyond to support them. I wouldn’t want to live, or work anywhere else.

What do you like to do outside of school?
Barb: I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors and completing projects around the house.
Karyn: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
