Sept. 24 Updates

October 1, 2021

This week, the district learned that 10 individuals in the SGF community have tested positive for COVID-19.

  • Four at the middle school
  • Three at Tanglewood
  • Two  at the high school
  • One at Moreau

Since learning of the positive cases, the district has worked closely with Saratoga County Public Health Services to identify contacts at the school. If your child has come into contact with one of the infected people, a staff member of your school will contact you directly.

As a reminder, anyone who tests positive for COVID should immediately call their school building nurse. If a positive test result comes back after school hours or on the weekend, please email the information to sgfcovid@sgfcsd.org or call (518) 824-2219.

Screening tests

As a reminder, the South Glens Falls Central School district is partnering with Saratoga County to offer a COVID-19 Testing Program. Through this completely free program, COVID-19 cases will be identified quickly and early, which will help stop transmission — keeping students in the classroom and able to take part in the activities they love.

Our school’s testing site will be right at the school and will take place weekly, during periods of moderate, substantial or high COVID-19 community transmission. Results will be available about 24 hours after the specimens have arrived at the lab and our school nurses will call the parents/guardians of all students who test positive.
