Push-ups for a cause at South Glens Falls HS

February 12, 2020

22-A-Day Push Up Challenge PosterSenior Dylan Stevens is raising awareness of veteran mental health, suicide and homelessness through the national 22-A-Day Push Up Challenge this February.

From Feb. 10-14 at the high school, students, faculty and staff are invited to sign up and participate in the challenge by doing 22 push-ups a day. In addition to the high school, Stevens is organizing push-ups at a few local gyms to help spread the message.

SGF High School participated last year, but this year they are teaming up with a local nonprofit organization that supports veterans to raise awareness and money. Several organizations stepped up to sponsor the event, and their names will appear on the back of the shirts.

“It’s great to see how far we’ve come in the past year,” said Stevens, who is hoping to attend West Point next year. “It’s important to be able to help the veterans community.”
