OWWMS student art selected for combined logo with Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

Students with winning artworkThis week the Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo visited Oliver W. Winch Middle School to select student artwork that will appear on the school resource officer’s uniform patch, office door and even the outside of his vehicle!

Students in the middle school’s Studio in Art course submitted original artwork to be considered for a new joint logo. The goal was to create something that represents both the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office six-point star and the district’s bulldog to show unity between the two entities.

The district’s school resource officer Saratoga County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Stewart has been in the district since the fall through a partnership between the district and the county.

Student winners include Melina Crete, Tessa Hogan, Delaney Seiler and Ayana Fredericks was selected! Each student will receive a $25 Amazon gift card as a prize for having their artwork selected.
