Masks now required for summer programming

August 9, 2021

As you may be aware, Saratoga County is now classified as “High Risk” for community spread of the COVID-19 virus according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The CDC has recommended universal masking for all staff, students and visitors in schools, regardless of vaccination status. After consulting with our District Physician and the Saratoga County Department of Health, the district is updating our current health and safety plans. Specifically, beginning on Tuesday, August 10, 2021:

  • All students and staff must wear an appropriate mask at all times while inside any of our buildings when students are in attendance. Masks can be removed when individuals are eating or drinking.
  • Students and staff should continue to maintain 3 feet of social distancing whenever possible.
  • Masks are not required for any outdoor instruction or activities.
  • All staff and students utilizing transportation must continue to wear masks at all times.

Read updated Saratoga County guidance.

The district will update the entire school community as soon as we review all guidance coming from the health department and our physician. Please know that we are taking the necessary steps to continue to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff and provide the opportunity for all students to return to full-time, in-person learning in September.

Please continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of others, including proper hygiene and social distancing. Thank you for your cooperation in all of this!
