Information about spring 2020 AP exams

May 1, 2020

The following message was sent to families who have students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes.

Dear Parents or Guardians:

Your student is enrolled in an Advanced Placement course and is scheduled to take the corresponding
AP exam during the May 11-22 testing window. Information on this year’s testing updates has already been shared with your student through his/her classroom teacher and The College Board website. Please visit for important updates to this year’s Advanced Placement testing administration.

Listed here is the AP Exam Schedule for May 2020. All exams will be administered at home using your student’s school-issued Chromebook and are expected to last approximately 45 minutes each from start to finish. Students should plan to access the Advanced Placement testing site 30 minutes prior to the scheduled exam time. If your student is experiencing technical difficulties with his/her school-issued Chromebook prior to the AP exam, contact our Tech Team by clicking here. On the day of the exam, if you have technical difficulties, please call 518-260-6899.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Advanced Placement exams will include only free-response questions and will be open book/open notes, but will not permit consultation with other students or teachers during the test. The exam will only include topics and skills most AP students had already covered by early March. Additional information for students may be found here.

Please encourage your student to get a good night’s rest before exam day and eat a nutritious breakfast that morning. I can be reached at if you have additional questions.
