Harrison Ave. Supply Lists

Kindergarten

  • 2 boxes of 24-count Crayola crayons
  • 1 package of large-sized pencils
  • 1 pair of earbuds or headphones (in a labeled bag or name on the packaging) **Headphones work much better. If you can only purchase one item to send in, please have it be this one.
  • 4 folders (no names on them)
  • 1 package of playdoh
  • 2 black dry erase markers
  • 1 yellow highlighter

In the event that we need to pivot to online learning, if possible, you may want some items already at home. I would suggest: a small whiteboard with dry erase marker, crayons, pencils, a composition notebook and plain white paper. You may also want alphabet cards, number cards, sight word cards and addition and subtraction flashcards. None of this is required. I just thought I would add this in case you are like me and always want to be prepared.

    Third Grade

In order to have a successful third grade year please have the following supplies on the first day of school. There is limited space for supplies in the room so anything extra that is not on the list will be sent home.

    • 6 glue sticks
    • 1 black sharpie marker
    • 3 packages sticky notes
    • 1 package of colored pencils
    • Pencil box and small pencil sharpener
    • Earbuds or headphones in a plastic bag with name written on. We use computers every day so this is a must.
    • 2 dry erase markers

When getting organized for the fall, take some time to set up a work space at home. You will be given a homework folder and planner for the year. At home you will want pencils, crayons and a quiet workspace.

    Fourth Grade

    • 5 highlighters
    • 2 dry erase markers
    • 1 package of lined, loose-leaf paper

    Fifth Grade

    Supplies

    • 1 durable 2-inch binder (preferably rubberized side for durability — please no Trapper Keepers and no larger sizes)
    • A sturdy, 3-hole punched zipper pencil bag to hold your utensils in your binder
    • 1 package of loose-leaf paper
    • 5 pocket folders with 3-hole prong fasteners: 1 red, 1 blue and 3 colors of your choice
    • 2 composition notebooks
    • 2 wide-ruled spiral notebooks
    • A set of earbuds

You should have these items in your zippered pencil bag at all times, so please bring in at least this amount:

    • Highlighters (1 package)
    • Glue sticks (4)
    • Pencils (2 packages)
    • Extra erasers
    • Blue pens (1 package)
    • Scissors
    • Colored pencils
    • Post-it notes (preferably 3 x 3 lined- at least 5 packages to get through the year. Please no accordion style.)
    • Pencil sharpener with shavings catcher
    • Skinny low-odor dry erase marker (black)

Please be sure one of each of those items fits in your zippered bag. Extra supplies will be kept in a bin at school. Please buy enough of these items to keep your zippered pouch replenished throughout the year. Because we are preparing for middle school, it is important to have your materials ready and with you at all times.

It would be helpful if you had these resources at home.

    • A quiet place to do your work
    • A box to save all of your papers (You never know when you might need them again!)
    • Duct tape to reinforce binder throughout the year
