District addresses odor at high school

November 30, 2015

Following an intermittent pungent odor at South Glens Falls High School, the district is working to make repairs to the building’s septic system.

The problem has been preliminarily identified as a vent piping issue in the septic system, and the district has contracted with Alpine Environmental to correct the problem.

“We know that we must ensure a comfortable environment for our students and staff, and we hope to have this problem alleviated as soon as possible,” said Superintendent of Schools Michael Patton.

Alpine Environmental has been working at the high school to help identify and correct the problem.

Anyone with questions can contact Dr. Michael Patton, Superintendent of Schools, by calling 793-9617.
