Dec. 14: COVID-19 Notification

Dear SGF Community,

The district learned today, Monday, Dec. 14, about four individuals in the school community that tested positive for COVID-19.

  • A member of the Ballard Elementary School community who was last in the district on Dec. 10.
  • Two members of the Oliver W. Winch Middle School community who were last in the district on Dec. 8.
  • A member of the South Glens Falls High School community who was last in the district on Dec. 10.

The district is working closely with Saratoga County Public Health Services to perform contact tracing. At this time, all individuals that may need to quarantine have been contacted by someone from school. If you did not receive a call, your child does not have to quarantine.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

At this time, SGFHS continues with remote learning. All other buildings are open for in-person learning.

As we head toward the upcoming school break, please call 518-824-2219 if you need to report a positive result or mandatory quarantine of a student. Someone will return the call.
