Dec. 11: COVID-19 Notification

December 11, 2020

Dear SGF Community,

The district learned today, Friday, Dec. 11, that an individual in the South Glens Falls High School community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last in the building on Thursday, Dec. 10.

The district is working closely with Saratoga County Public Health Services to perform contact tracing. At this time, all individuals that need to be quarantined have been contacted by someone from school. If you did not receive a call, your child does not have to quarantine.

SGFHS will continue remote instruction through Dec. 21, 2020.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Please remember that our community should continue to work together to ensure overall public health. Following guidelines regarding masks, social gatherings and social distancing is important both inside and outside of school buildings. If your child shows any possible symptoms, please mark that on Pinpoint and keep your student home. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping everyone safe.

All other buildings will be open for in-person instruction at this time.

Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Saratoga County Public Health Services at 518-584-7460.

As we head into the weekend and upcoming school breaks, if you need to report a positive result or mandatory quarantine of a student, please call 518-824-2219 and someone will get back to you.
