South Glens Falls CSD Board of Education member Nelson Charron was recently honored as one of the region’s leaders through The Post-Star’s 20 Under 40.

Charron, who was elected to the BOE in May 2013, is the business and marketing representative for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 773.

He says the best aspect of his job is “having the opportunity to work with women, minorities and our returning veterans, and to see them be placed into a great trade where they can learn a valuable skill that will earn them a living wage.”

Charron and his wife Kara-Leigh are the parents of two boys.

The 2015 20 Under 40 were honored at a luncheon on Sept. 15.
