2021 – 2022 Budget Update #3
Ms. Orr and Mr. Fottrell reviewed changes in the budget since March 1, 2021. A traditional in-person vote is being planned at Tanglewood and Ballard Elementary Schools with COVID19 restrictions in place. Board of Education Petitions have been updated to require only 25 signatures. The Assembly and Senate are recommending a possible retirement incentive which may be considered, and a human resource position is being reviewed. Two elementary positions may not need to be filled due to attrition (class sizes). Town Halls will be scheduled virtually in April and May to keep the community informed.

COVID19 Update
Ms. Orr presented staff and parent survey results from one conducted in June 2020 compared to March 2021, one year after closing school. Almost 1000 responses were received from the community and 300 from staff. Topics included social distancing, mental health, student health, communications, transportation, and virtual/in-person instruction.
