Polling hours and locations

Polls will be open Tuesday, May 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Election District 1: Town of Moreau residents, which includes the Village of South Glens Falls, vote at Tanglewood Elementary
School.
Election District 2: Wilton/Northumberland residents vote at Ballard Elementary School.

Who can vote?

To vote in this election, you must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the South Glens Falls School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote and registered with Saratoga County Board of Elections.

Absentee ballots

Registered voters who are unable to vote in person can request an absentee application by calling (518)793-9617, Ext. 1. Applications must be received by the district clerk at least seven days before the vote (May 8) if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election (May 14) if the voter is going to pick up the ballot in person.

Security personnel will ensure student safety during vote

To ensure student and staff safety while the buildings are open during the school budget vote, the South Glens Falls CSD will have increased security present.

The District Safety Committee decided to hire plainclothes law enforcement officers to serve as an extra set of eyes and ears while the school buildings have a steady stream of visitors on May 15. During the vote, visitors enter and exit through one set of doors near the gymnasiums at both Ballard and Tanglewood elementary schools.

“The additional security is an added layer of protection for our students and staff on a day when our buildings are more open than usual,” said Interim Superintendent of Schools Jon Hunter, Ed.D. “We have never had a problem, and we don’t expect to. However, some parents have expressed concern, and we want to alleviate worry by providing the schools with security personnel.”
