One hundred works of art from more than 75 students in 18 high schools in Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and Essex counties will be exhibited in the Museum’s Feibes & Schmitt and Rotunda Galleries. The exhibition opens to the public with the High School Juried Show Opening and Awards Ceremony from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and runs through June 10.

This year, hundreds of pieces of artwork were submitted. The submissions were reviewed by a panel of jurors and the field was narrowed to 200 works of art. The jurors then see each of the finalists for a live adjudication, and select 100 works for the exhibit.

The Hyde Collection proudly invites you to the Director’s Circle opening and Teacher Appreciation of the High School Juried Show from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 11, at the Museum.

This year’s jurors — Doug Gruse, director of marketing at SUNY Adirondack; Emma Huneck, exhibitions director at Saratoga Arts; and Takeyce Walter, a regional artist and educator — said the students made the selection process difficult.
