The South Glens Falls Central Schools boast a talented pool of athletes who strive to perform both on the field and in the classroom by earning athletic accolades as well as recognition as Scholar Athlete Teams.

2015 Spring Athletic Starting Dates

Track and Field: Varsity–March 12th–2:30–5:00 pm–HS /Modified–March 23rd–2:30–4:30 pm–HS
Baseball: Varsity-JV-March 10th-3:45-7:30 pm-HS/Modified-March 18th – 7:00 pm-8:00 pm – Pitchers and Catchers only – HS / Modified Full Team Tryout – March 23rd – 5 pm – 7 pm – HS
Softball: Varsity-JV-March 10th-2:30-5:00 pm-MS/Modified-March 30th-
Boys Tennis: Varsity – March 10th – 2:30–4:30 pm – HS
Boys Lacrosse: Varsity-JV-March 10th-2:45-6:30 pm-HS
Girls Lacrosse: Varsity-JV-March 10th-6:00-9:00 pm-HS

Physicals, if needed, will be held on Feb. 2 and Feb. 23, from 8-10 a.m. at the high school. For the middle school, physicals will be held Feb. 9 and March 2, from 8-10 a.m. Every student must obtain their blue card at the nurse office prior to the tryout date. If they do not have a blue card, they cannot tryout.

Selective Classification for any student approved by the head coach of the respective sport will be held Feb. 24 at the high school at 2:30 p.m. The tutorial on the process is located in the menu on the left-hand side of the site page, along with a parent permission form that must be signed and returned to the Director of Athletics office by Feb. 5.

2014 Fall Season Athletics Update

Another successful season in the books! We picked up a Foothills and Sectional Championship! Boys Soccer claimed their first Sectional Championship in 25 years with a 2—1 win over rival Scotia and also secured their second consecutive Foothills Title!

We had almost all of our teams named NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete Teams with the following averages:
